Romblon The Marvelous - A Unique DIY Travel Guide

Romblon the Marble capital of the Philippines is an archipelagic province located in the MIMAROPA region and it has a 4 major inhabitant islands Tablas (Where the airport is located), Romblon (Provincial capital), Sibuyan and San Jose.

Wayback 2008 after featuring Carabao Island in Kapuso mo Jessica Soho as the "New Boracay" I was amazed by the beauty and pristine of the island, and told my self that I will travel there very soon.

Day 1: Free Island Tour

We arrive at the airport as early as 9:00 am for our 11:00 am flight departure in NAIA Terminal 4 via Cebu Pacific, we got a Php 602 base fare and a total of Php 2,013 round trip ticket to Manila - Tablas - Manila.

This one is special kase first time namin mag domestic travel <3

Jen, waiting for our boarding

 Boarding time! This is it!

View of Aglicay Beach Resort view deck. We're here na, almost!

Touch down Romblon!!!

Yes! Excited much :)

Dinala kame ni Kuya Louie sa Dew Forest Garden Restaurant, we ordered Sisig and Chopsuey na good for us all.

We hired Kuya Loiue as a tour guide also around Tablas Island and our first stop is..

Aglicay Beach Resort
This is a private resort and you have to pay Php 100 for entrance fee, pero pag si Kuya Louie kasama niyo free lang basta sabihin lang na magpipictures lang :D

Entrance in the resort

A fine white sand

Na pa-WOW kame dito when we arrived sa ganda ng resort at hindi pa crowded very limited ang guest that time dahil siguro off peak, pero sobrang init!

Konting hike paakyat ng view deck

View at the view deck

Mukha akong bading dito ahh

Another view deck sa kabilang side, just explore every edge of this place.

Dahil halfday nalang kame at almost hapon na nagstart, we don't have much time to stay pa ng mas matagal.

Going back down

Lake look a like, pero part ng beach yan along the trail :)

#nofilter just the sun light

Binucot Beach
The best daw dito na mag spend ng time for beach sunset and it's true!

Romeo

Mabato at madaming dead corals along the shore hindi na kame nagpunta sa Binucot Beach Resort as per advice ng guide namin to avoid again Php 100 entrance fee, ganun din naman daw itsura ng beach :) #tipidtips

We spend lang halos 30 minutes here, naco-consume ng travel ang time namin dahil layo-layo din ang mga tourist spot, hindi na din namin napuntahan ang Fish Sanctuary sa Looc dahil kulang na din sa time.

Our last stop for the day is..

Odiongan Bay
I decide na dito mag spend ng sunset based sa mga blog na nabasa ko, pero we recommend na mas maganda mag sunset sa Binucot beach dahil nasa harapan mo ang araw.

After mag check in sa aming hotel na Warf Manor, we headed agad sa sea side for sunset.

Sunset at Odiongan Bay

After the sunset ano pa ba kasunod, edi kainan na dinner.

Town Hall

At the town plaza you will see this 100% marble signage. Solido!

Infairness modern Jollibee

Nearby sa plaza you will find this souvenirs

At ang ending? Sa puso ng isang bayan, ang palengke!

Simpleng lugaw with egg

We have hamburger + lugaw for our dinner and don't expect much sa quality for its price.

End of day.

Day 2: Calatrava Islands Tour

We woke up as early as 4:00am to prepare at magpunta agad sa main terminal to look for the first trip ng jeep to Calatrava. The main transportation here in Tablas is jeepney at tricycle, very limited lang at may oras ang biyahe ng mga jeep around Tablas Island kaya very important to research at the best way is magtanong sa mga lokal ng schedules or else mag rerent kayo ng tricycle na expensive.

Our breakfast for that early morning is hot Malungay pandesal, masarap siya.
We arrive at Calatrava around 6:30 am at deretso kame sa port area to look and hire a boat for an island tour.

Guindauahan ni Bendoy Island
Our first stop, this island is superb dito kame unang dinala ng aming mga bangkero.

Siempre couple selfie <3

The water is so clear, thanks kila kuya bangkero hindi dapat kasama sa itinerary namin ito.

Fresh catch fish from the fishermen, mukhang maliit lang pero mabigat yan!

Tada! Our breakfast sariwang sariwa walang ka-lansa lansa.
Pina-ihaw namin sa care taker ng island they offer us this, we just pay for the labor around +50 pesos

Second stop..

Tinagong Dagat

Next stop na ulit.

Lapus-Lapus Cove
I think this is it! Their unique and still virgin islands, napakaganada!

Nasolo namin this time yun mga islands, advantage ng off peak season at kung gusto ninyo mas masolo, choose weekdays.

Travel buddies <3

Pristine!

We spend more time here sa Lapus-Lapus Cove inexplore namin at inenjoy ang masarap paliguan na tubig dito.

Romeo on aura mode

Jep C

And it's time to move on.. hindi na namin nadaanan ang dalawa pang island cove same naman din daw ang experience based sa guide namin at para maabutan din namin ang 11:30 am jeep trip pabalik sa Odiongan.

Getting around

Jep C on pure solid marble CALATRAVA landmark

1:30 pm we're back at Odiongan at bumaba kame sa port area kung nasaan ang sikat na bilihan ng marble souvenirs na nafeature sa Biyahe ni Drew!

As usual, sa pasalubong napapagastos ;)

Back at the hotel, pack up na and find for a much cheaper but best hotel in Town. Na-cancel ang pag punta namin ng Santa Fe that day para dun na sana mag stay for the night but we decided nalang to stay in Odiongan at umalis ng early para maabutan ang isa sa dalawang boat ride papuntang Carabao Island.

Tips: There are 2 jeepney trips from Odiongan to Sta Fe port in the morning, mas cheaper that rerent ng trike.

Farewell group picture to Warf Manor a good hotel.

Christmas decorations. Malapit na ang pasko!

Sunset along Odiongan Town
Habang naghahanap ng murang hotel

We ended up at Peter's Loft, nasuyod namin lahat ng hotel/INN/rooms sa Odiongan and this is the good deal in terms of price and at the same time cleanliness and comfort.

Our room good for Php 1,200/4 pax.
Air conditioned, new and clean. Ayos!

We ended our day at Laszaji Grill, well hindi maganda ang experience namin dito pero marami kumakain dahil medjo cheap ang price pero sobra bagal lang ng service nila saamin that time.

Day 3 The Highlights

Wake up call 4:30 am, we hired a trike again Kuya Louie to drop us at Sante Fe port, we didn't know the jeepney schedules kaya napamahal kame.

Simulan na ang araw!

Look at that native pig, nakaka awa diba?

Around 7:00 am we arrived at the port, napaka aga pa.. dun lang namin nalaman na aalis lang ang pumpboat kapag dumating na ang mga jeep from Odiongan :( dahil andun ang mga goods na dadalhin sa San Jose.

Tambay mode!

Madami kameng time, coffee muna at noodles

View in Sante Fe port

Group picture!
Dahil sobrang init di na kinaya nun isa

Ang daming time talaga :D

El Kapitan

Ay si Jep lang pala

Si boy patibag!

Sa wakas all aboard na, let's go Carabao Island!

Touch down Carabao Island!

After ng check in, quick lunch muna sa recommended restaurant nila kuya guide.

First stop..

Tagaytay View Point
A must to visit, napanood ko 'to pinuntahan ng Biyahe ni Drew maganda ang place relaxing lalo na sa Kubo.

Boracay Island

Ohh diba masarap tumambay dito.

Ohh diba? Pwede? Pwede!

Lanas Beach (White Beach)

Well maganda yung beach kaso...

Kuding Kuding Cave and Cliff Diving

Kuding-Kuding Cliff Jump

Unlimited Gatorade!!!

Isang napakagandang spot.

Talon Jep!

Talon me!

Talon Jen! <3

Kuding-Kuding Cave

Dingle Cave
Mahaba habang habal ride to dahil nasa bandang itaas ng island.

Next stop, the reason! Ang tinaguriang the New Boracay!

Said Beach
And this time solong solo namin ang buong shore line ng Said beach, palibhasa may pasok dinadaanan at pinapanood lang kame ng mga estudyante.

This is Carabao Island!

Jep C

Actually struggle ang pag akyat dyan haha :D

Romeo

Jen

Jehp
Dito kame nag tagal as in haha..

Sweet!

I <3 Romblon!

The New Boracay

Angas Cliff Diving

We end our day back to Said Beach swimming lang kame at inenjoy ang place :)

Ang lalim ng camera ahhh

Moon over the beach, tanaw sa hotel namin.

At Sante Fe port

Forget the name nun girl marble

Tablas Airport

All in all it was a great unique exciting stressfull experience. Stress kase on the spot nangangalap ng info about the place haha DIY! Pero dahil naging success kaya mas naging masaya.

Highlight din dito ang suka nila we call it Sukang Odiongan na lasang alak healthy daw yun kase organic galing sa niyog. Majority ng sawsawan sa buong Romblon.
